Here's how it goes:

You put a ^ quoting what the person above you said and a < to yourself, saying something.

E.g. Person 1 starts the game, saying: < feels BORED.
Person 2 says:
^ feels BORED.
< likes ice cream :)
Person 3 says:
^ likes ice cream :)
< wants to fly in a rocket

etc etc.
